The Department has been established with the objective of developing the capabilities in the students in the field of Commerce. The department is involved with research and training pertaining to a wide variety of issues related to commerce and other allied subjects.
The students are given exposure to a wide range of subjects such as Accountancy, Finance, Management, Economics, Law, Environmental Science, Quantitative Techniques and International Marketing and it also hones their soft skills through subjects like Corporate Communication.
To obtain industrial exposures, we arrange industrial training and periodical industrial visits to all the students. Seminars, Conference and workshops were conducted periodically to enrich and inculcate the knowledge of our students.
We aim to bring the students accordingly to this dynamic world. Our pedagogy was based on the in-depth class discussions, with its concepts and applications, its ideas and exercise on new techniques.
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) is three years full time traditional course offered in Semester exam pattern. Student learns financial accounting, Corporate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Economics, Microeconomics, Auditing and Taxation. Students also get optional subjects from first to third year which helps them to specialize at graduation (Optional subjects- Banking and Finance, Cost & Works Accounting, Marketing Management, Insurance, Transport & Tourism).
